You know, I can never predict what other people will love and what they’ll think is trash. I’ve published a few pieces that I really didn’t like — I just put them out there to, as you said, get my words out to the (potential) masses. And yet those are the pieces that people really seem to respond to. The ones I LOVE and feel so proud of usually don’t get much attention or feedback. So I say, publish away. You never know what others will like — the pieces you think are trash might really resonate with your readers. (What’s the expression? One man’s trash is another man’s treasure…) Also, it’ll help you get used to putting your work out there and the more you write, the better you’ll get at it.
