That’s an excellent way of looking at it! A few of the pieces I’m most proud of took ages to write. I just kept going back and chipping away until the piece was finished. So I just remind myself that I have to keep working and be patient. It’s hard, though. I can easily feel like a failure for not finishing an article in one sitting.

From now on I’m going to remind myself of your grapes / wine metaphor whenever I get feel frustrated. Maybe I’ll also down a couple glasses of wine in the process….
