Thank you so much. As someone who has “been there,” I do value your input and advice. I try to give my son some freedom, but I also know the world isn’t what it used to be — for example, I used to play outside for hours with kids from the neighborhood, but kids nowadays don’t really do that. (At least where I live.) It’s all scheduled play dates and organized outings; we never see kids running around in the front yards. So I’m trying to expose him to as much of life as possible, but do so in a world that feels very different from the one in which I grew up. It’s tricky.
