Thank you! I was starting to wonder if I was the only one feeling this way. It seems as though there’s been this enormous push lately to talk about stats and earnings, as if that’s the way to build a writing career, and it really bothers me. (Plus, I don’t want to see what other people earn because all it does is make me wonder why I’m not making as much.) I’m trying to hard to just keep my head down and write, but it’s tough, especially when the various online writing groups are focused primarily on numbers.
