I’ve given up on figuring out curation. I had a piece curated yesterday, which shocked me, while other pieces I swore would be curated were not. So I’m focusing less on all the big items we’re supposed to pay attention to — data, stats, curation, etc — and just trying to write and work on my craft.

I’ve heard fiction doesn’t get nearly as much love on Medium. I’ve written a number of fiction pieces but won’t post them here for that very reason. I just post my own blog/nonfiction ramblings and save fiction for literary journals and such.
